Unlike new products, refurbished devices come with their own set of expectations, and we believe in setting those clearly from the beginning. Our 7-day return policy is designed to protect customers in cases of genuine product issues while maintaining fairness in refurbished product transactions.


Understanding Refurbished Products

All products sold on ReTechie are professionally refurbished, not brand-new. This means they are pre-owned or open-box items that have undergone a complete diagnostic test, been repaired or restored (if needed), and have passed quality assurance inspections. We offer only functional and quality-assured products that meet the specifications mentioned in the product listing.

However, since these items are not new, they may carry visible signs of previous use, including:

  • Light scratches or scuffs on the casing
  • Slight dents or marks on the body
  • Faded keys, stickers, or port labels
  • Use of compatible (non-original) accessories such as chargers

These cosmetic elements are a normal part of buying refurbished and do not impact the usability or functionality of the product. Hence, they are not grounds for return or refund. We request customers to read each listing carefully and understand the difference between refurbished and new before placing an order.


Returns Are Accepted Within 7 Days for the Following Issues:

ReTechie will accept return requests only if one or more of the following conditions are met:

  1. Major physical damage or manufacturing defect that was not disclosed in the product description.
  2. Non-functional hardware or software issue that affects normal usage of the device (e.g., display not turning on, keyboard not working).
  3. Configuration mismatch — where the received product has incorrect specifications compared to what was listed, such as:
    • Wrong RAM size (e.g., 4GB instead of 8GB)
    • Wrong storage type/size (e.g., HDD instead of SSD or 256GB instead of 512GB)
    • Wrong processor model (e.g., Intel i5 instead of i7)

All return requests must be raised within 7 calendar days of delivery. Clear photo and/or video evidence must be submitted to our support team to validate the claim.


Returns Will Not Be Accepted for the Following:

We do not accept returns under the following conditions:

  • Processor version or speed differences, if the core processor model (e.g., i5, i7) is accurate as per listing.
  • Installed Windows version or Microsoft Office license mismatch, unless it was explicitly included in the product description.
  • Minor cosmetic wear such as scratches, dents, faded keys, or wear and tear consistent with refurbishment.
  • Missing accessories unless explicitly promised (e.g., bag, manual, original charger).
  • Buyer’s remorse, change of mind, or expectation mismatch about product appearance.
  • Performance complaints based on subjective speed or visual preferences.

Return Conditions & Customer Responsibility

If your return request is approved, please follow these guidelines strictly:

  • The product must be packed in the original box and packaging in which it was received.
  • There must be no tampering or replacement of parts.
  • The product must not show any new physical damage or mishandling after delivery.
  • All included accessories (even if generic) must be returned.
  • The item must be shipped using secure packaging to prevent any damage in transit.

Refund & Deductions Policy

Once the returned product is received and inspected by our technical team:

  • If the product passes the inspection and meets the return eligibility criteria, refunds will be initiated within 14 to 28 working days.
  • Transit costs, packaging charges, and handling charges will be deducted from the total refund amount. This includes:
    • Forward and reverse shipping costs
    • Packing material costs
    • Payment gateway or processing fees (if any)
  • In case the product is returned with additional damage, missing components, or tampered parts, the cost of such damage will be deducted from the refund amount based on current market valuation.
  • In serious cases of misuse, negligence, or attempt to return a different item, the return will be rejected, and the customer will have to bear the cost of reshipping the item back to them.

  2. Share photos/videos clearly showing the issue.
  3. Our team will review the evidence and approve or reject the return request.
  4. If approved, you’ll receive return instructions.
